ENGINEERING OUR ECONOMY

By Mubaashir Uqdah

Much is made about the importance of economic strength in the successful development of a society and its people. To fulfill our mission, the supporters of Imam W. Deen Mohammed must develop economic strength, and this does not happen by chance. Ultimately, our economic fate rests in the hands of Allah, but it is our belief that by patiently persevering in the path of His guidance, success through engineering is our destiny.

NEW WORLD ORDER

Chess Mastery of the Muslim World?

By Mubaashir Uqdah

The game of chess is a game of strategy and is symbolic of competing forces in war. When two opponents sit down to play the game, they are both aware that there is a battle underway and that an adversary is trying to defeat them. What happens when two equally talented players sit down to a game and one player knows his objective and is playing to win and the other player is playing without conviction or the realization that his opponent is really out to conquer him? Who is most likely to win?

COMTEMPLATING THE MEANING AND POWER OF BISMALLAH

By Mubaashir Uqdah

Bismillah is an Arabic phrase commonly translated as In the name of Allah or In Allah’s name. Imam W. Deen Mohammed has taught us that it is preferable to translate this expression as With Allah’s Name. The Arabic word Bi means both In and With, however the two words have different connotations. For English speaking people, to say that one comes ‘In’ the name of someone implies that he has been appointed or designated as an official spokesperson. Whereas, to say that one comes ‘With’ someone’s name implies that you are using the name of that person to validate or support what you are saying or doing.

The theme of this year’s special edition of the Muslim Journal is “New Africa! Can you see it?” The question is asked, “Can you see it?” because, New Africa is a vision of the future. No vision of the future can be transformed into a reality if it is not clearly understood mentally and felt spiritually. Imam Mohammed has provided piercing insight into the plan of Allah for this people that have experienced a most unusual and peculiar history.

RAMADAN AND THE PATH TO ENLIGHTENMENT

By Mubaashir Uqdah

We have been taught that five pillars uphold the structure of our way of life, Al-Islam. In these five ideas, we see the direction that Allah intends for human life. We become conscious of our Creator, we cultivate the self, we give increase to others, we become victorious as an individual, and we become victorious as a group (the biggest group being humanity). These are the five pillars or five principles or five ideas or five senses that guide and govern the Deen of Al-Islam.

In the Holy Qur'an, Sura 2, Ayat 260, the story is told of how Abraham questioned Allah as to how he would give life to the dead. Allah told Abraham to take four birds, tame (train) them to turn to him (Abraham), set a portion of them on each hill, then call them and they would come flying to him with speed.

Darwin, the Devil

and World Domination

By Mubaashir Uqdah

Charles Darwin is the man who crafted the theory of evolution. What most of us know about his theory is that it postulates that human beings evolved from apes or ape-like ancestors into the modern day human. While this may be the most sensational aspect of his theory, it is his explanation of the force responsible for evolution that I want to call your attention to.

Christmas

A Sign of Allah’s Plan

and Satan’s Plan

By Mubaashir Uqdah

The Christmas season has presented difficulties for some Muslims living in Western nations where it is the dominant holiday. Among many African American Muslims in America, it has been a source of discomfort, because most of our relatives are Christian and we are torn between sharing family time and gifts with our relatives and feeling that we are violating our religion or that our children will be overexposed to something that is inappropriate.

Curriculum Development

for Clara Muhammad Schools

By Mubaashir Uqdah

It is the mission of the supporters of Imam W. Deen Mohammed to first grow into the new mind that he has been blessed to design for us, and then weave a new culture to serve as a womb for that mind to evolve to its logical conclusion: Khalifah. As Khalifah, we will serve as the life-germ, the will (wheel) in the Body-Christ (the masses of African Americans) that inspires and leads the way for the broader communities (including Islamic and Christian) in the establishment of mercy and justice throughout America and eventually the world. This destiny is achieved through the model communities established as a consequence of the rise and reality of the evolution of New Africa in the years to come.

On Oct. 15, 2005, a significant event took place in Washington, D.C., when Minister Louis Farrakhan summoned the multitudes of the poor, particularly the multitudes of African Americans, to a mass meeting of import called the Millions More Movement (MMM).
