ABOUT  AL-ISLAM

Text Box: MUHAMMED THE PROPHET
Muhammed The Prophet was born in Mecca, Arabia, April 570 A.D. Fifty years later, ten years after receiving the first revelation from Allah, upon making the Hijrah (migration) to Madina marked the beginning of the Islamic calendar. He was born of Abdullah, the son of Abdul Muttalib and Aminah the daughter of Wahb Ibn Abd Manaf Ibn Zuhrah. His father died seven months before he was born, and his mother when he was six years old. He was raised by his grand-father Abdul Muttalib until he passed shortly thereafter, then his uncle Abu Talib became his guardian.
Muhammed The Prophet was a person of a good heart, impeccable human character, and an excellent example that became chosen by Allah to be emulated by humanity. He was sincere, truthful, honest, rational, and upright that earned him the nickname of El-Amin (the trustworthy) by his community of peers. He lived amongst and during the ignorant days of Arabia, and showed a genuine concern for an alcoholic, prostitution, gambling, immoral, troubled and misguided people. It was the Cave of Hira (mount of light) that was his place of refuge and contemplation that he received the first revelation from Allah that introduced his life as the Messeger of Allah for all of humanity.
Muhammed is a flesh and blood human being. He is not an angel nor does he share in the divinity of Creator. Unlike other prophets of scriptures, his history is documented from his birth to his death. He was a humble man who never lost compassion for the common man, though he became the leader, statesman, general, judge, businessman, law-giver, etc. He could easily be found sweeping the floor or other house chores for his wife.
It was Prophet Muhammed that restored moral, intellectual, freedom, dignity, and equality to women. It was Prophet Muhammed that maintained his original innocent nature, upon which all of creation is patterned, that he would disallow the burning of trees and the mistreatment of animals, giving all created things and creatures its rights just as he promoted human rights.
Briefly, we can say the Muhammed The Prophet is an exemplary life for all worlds. More study has to be given to the life of Muhammed The Prophet, G-d’s Prayers and Peace be upon him.
